What’s in the box?
Our designer of this lovely project is the gorgeous Anna Nikipirowicz.
Anna has designed the sweetest little fox, curled up having a snooze. It’s with deep regret that I have to tell you that sadly we have christened him Gareth. We didn’t mean to but when we saw that he’s made with Waistcoat Stitch we had no choice! For those of you who have no idea what I’m on about, the manager of the English football team is called Gareth Southgate and he became famous last summer for wearing his smart waistcoats at every match. We even had Waistcoat Wednesday during the World Cup. So Gareth it is, but please feel free to rename your foxes…..we won’t be offended!
Gareth is made from Rico Ricogurumi in Fox x2, Black x1 and Cream x1. Rico have brought out this latest range this year, especially for making amigurumi and other small projects. It’s a lovely soft cotton in beautiful colours. Each one is 25g making it perfect for our little boxes. You can buy them from Wool Warehouse where you can also get a discount of 10% with the code Littlebox2
As always we’ve included a bodkin in its felt keeper and our soft handled hook, you’ll also find a nest of soft stuffing to fill Gareth with.
Our lovely regular contributors have excelled themselves again this month: Jennie Maizels stunning postcard features Mr Fox on the prowl, looking handsome. Beth from Koruclay has made us her own little foxy face stitch marker and Kayti Peschke – who also does our wonderful photography – has designed this pattern booklet.
Finally, some little extra treats! We’ve included a cute foxy tape measure and a set of sweet buttons from our favourite button makers, Incomparable Buttons from South Africa.
All of this is presented in the most beautiful foxy box, designed for us by Kayti Peschke who has also designed the pattern booklet.
